Viacom

Viacom also known as video and audio communications is an American media firm with many worldwide intersts in cable and satellite television networks. The total profit for Viacom last year was $15.50 Billion. Viacom so such things as film productions & distributing, T.V. Networks and Gaming. Examples of film production would be such instituitions as Paramount Pictures, MTV Films & Nickelodeon Movies. Television networks would have channels such as, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV etc. A few video games would be Xfire, Harmonix and GameTrailers.


Time Warner

Time Warner Inc. is the world's largest entertainment company as well as the world's fourth largest media firm. Time Warner is based in
New York City. In 2008, its Operating Revenue income was $46.98 billion. Industry is mainly focused on Broadcasting, Publishing, Internet and Telecommunications. Net Income is around 13.40 Billion, Total assets $113.89 Billion, Total equity $42.28 Billion. Current assets Time Warner owns are AOL, HBO, Turner Broadcasting which involves Cartoon Network. They also are involved with CNN radio and Headline News radio. Warner Bro’s, Time Inc. are the assets that hugly known aound the globe.


News Corporation

News Corporation is the world's second largest media conglomerate (after Walt Disney Company) from 2008 and the world's third largest in entertainment from 2009. On 6th May 2009, its Revenue was $32.996 billion and its net income was $5.38 billion in 2008. News Corp are into a lot of types of media i.e, Books, Newspapers, Magazines, Music and Radio, Sport & Satellite Television. Books would be HarperCollins which are well known for creating English dictionaries. Well known newspapers such as The Times and The Daily Telegraph are part of News Corp.


Sony

Sony Corporation (commonly referred to as Sony) is a multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, Japan, and one of the world's largest media conglomerates with revenue exceeding ¥ 7.730.0 trillion, equivalent to $78.88 billion USD.
Its Revenue on 31st March 2009 was 7.730 trillion Yen, equivalent to $78.877 billion USD, its Operating income was −227.8 billion Yen, its Net income was -98.9 billion Yen. In 2009, its total assets were $230.5 billion USD, and its total equity and profits are roughly $50 billion USD. Sony make such goods as game consoles, televisions, laptops, mobile phones, musical gadgets, own branded usb sticks, digital cameras, camcorders, dvd/blu-ray players and sound systems.
